Brooklyn for Barack is a grassroots political organization founded on the belief that Barack Obama is the best candidate for President of the United States and that he shares the interests, hopes and beliefs of the people of Brooklyn and New York.

We will work tirelessly in Brooklyn and beyond to lead Senator Barack Obama to a resounding victory in 2008.

It is our mission to:

• Increase the visibility of Senator Obama’s candidacy in Brooklyn and promote awareness of his values, ideals, and positions
• Involve the vibrant neighborhoods of Brooklyn, building support and enthusiasm for Senator Obama’s candidacy on every block and every street corner of the borough
• Reach out to all eligible voters and extend the civic franchise to as many people as we can by actively seeking to register new voters
• Recruit and mobilize volunteers to assist in getting out the vote for both the Democratic primary elections and the general election
• Raise funds for Senator Obama’s national campaign
• Create a legacy of increased civic engagement
  and participation as a result of Senator Obama’s candidacy
